Exfoliate

Always start with freshly exfoliated skin. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Body Scrub removes dead skin cells and creates a smooth, even base for your tan to adhere to - which means fewer dry patches and a more even, longer-lasting result.

Prep

Apply a tiny amount of your favourite Palmer's body lotion (we love our Tahitian Vanilla Body Lotion) to any dry areas like elbows, knees, feet and hands. Let it absorb for 5 minutes before tanning. This prevents these areas from soaking up too much colour and going patchy.

Apply

Apply Palmer's Natural Bronze Sunless Tanning Oil to your entire body including your face. Start with a small amount and build up as needed. Buff in using a blending brush or tanning mitt for a seamless, streak-free finish.

Pro tip: The oil should absorb fully, if your skin still feels wet, you've used too much.

Develop

Let your tan develop over 8 hours. Apply in the morning and go about your day or put it on at night and wake up bronzed and glowing. Because it's non-sticky and odour-free, wearing it during the day or while sleeping is genuinely no big deal.

Maintain

After showering off, moisturise daily with your favourite Palmer's body lotion or body oil. Keeping skin hydrated helps your tan fade evenly, prevents it from clinging to dry patches and makes it much easier to prepare for a fresh application when the time comes.

After one application you'll notice a really solid base tan. Keep applying for 3 days to build to a deep, rich colour. Once you're at your desired depth, one application every few days is all you need to maintain it.
