How to Care for Dry Lips!

With moisture-sapping summer weather on our doorstep, it’s more important than ever to look after our skin. Since our poor faces are most vulnerable during the warmer weather (unless we rock a sombrero the size of a small boat), keeping skin hydrated is the key to comfortable, radiant skin.

Our poor lips often cop the worst of it – and there is nothing more uncomfortable (and icky looking) than dry, flaky, sore or sunburned chapped lips. During Summer, lips require regular hydration and conditioning. The skin on our lips is thinner than any other part of the body and lacks oil glands, meaning they can’t regulate their own moisture levels like the rest of our skin.

UVA rays are a huge concern during Summer, with most states experiencing hot, cloudless weather for days on end. Our delicate lips are even more succeptible to sun damage than our facial skin. Which is why it is so important to find a moisture rich lip balm that will fight the environmental elements that cause skin to dry out.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lip Balm is ultra-moisturising, made up of a solid shot of pure Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E and SPF 15. Not only does it enrich lips with moisture throughout Summer, it also keeps them protected from the harsh sun which can trigger cold sores and contribute to fine lines around the mouth.

UV exposure can be quite harmful, allowing ultraviolet rays to penetrate the thin skin on the lips and cause damage. Palmer’s Coconut Oil Lip Balm (also SPF 15!) moisturises by bonding with the natural oils in your skin, nourishing deeply and without irritation, it will ease the irritated feeling of sun and wind damaged skin.

The Key ingredients, Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil, melt on contact with the skin creating a lush barrier which softens and moisturises lips making this lip balm a winter essential!

Why not try them all, with our trio Lip Care Bundle, which includes the Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil & Shea Butter formulas.
